This lack of female representation not only limits the perspectives and experiences brought to the policymaking process but also perpetuates a system that is inherently biased against women. To address these challenges, a multi-faceted approach is needed. Companies and political parties must actively work to dismantle systemic barriers to women's advancement, including implementing policies that promote gender diversity and inclusivity. Additionally, efforts to change societal attitudes and norms around gender roles are essential to creating a more equitable environment for women in both business and politics. By taking an ontological perspective on gender equality in Korean business and politics, we can better understand the underlying structures that perpetuate inequality and work towards meaningful change. It is only through a collective effort to challenge existing norms and promote inclusivity that we can create a more equitable society where women have equal opportunities to succeed in all fields.
